Competent digital educators use digital technologies to engage in collaboration with other educators, sharing and exchanging knowledge and experience, and collaboratively innovating pedagogic practices.

Typical Activities

  • They use digital technologies to collaborate with other educators, on a dedicated project or task.
  • They use digital technologies to share and exchange knowledge, resources and experiences with colleagues and peers.
  • They use digital technologies to collaboratively develop educational resources.
  • They use professional collaborative networks to explore and reflect on new pedagogic practices and methods.
  • They use professional collaborative networks as a source for their own professional development.
  • When mastering this competence doing the work in the lab, you should be able to say:

  • I use digital technologies to collaborate with colleagues in my organisation, e.g. on a dedicated joint project, or to exchange content, knowledge and opinions.
  • I use digital communities to explore new pedagogic resources or methods and to get fresh ideas.
  • I use digital technologies to share and exchange the resources I use, my knowledge and opinion, with colleagues within and beyond my organisation.
  • I actively use digital communities to exchange ideas and collaboratively develop digital resources.

  • Follow current research on innovative teaching and consider how to integrate research findings into our practice.
  • We will evaluate, reflect on and collaboratively discuss policy and organisational practice concerning the use of digital technologies.
  • We will reflect on how to help peers in developing their digital competence.
